Operational Planning and Coordination
Operations are carried out in three shifts.  Ships cargoes are dealt with in accordance to a plan, developed in advance, by the Operational Planning and Coordination division.  The division is the port's main information channel for regular operations and the reporting of unusual and irregular events both by those in the port and those outside.
The Operational Planning and Coordination division operates from 05:00 until 18:00.  As a result, and in relation to the operation queue, a vessels location, transport team and equipment are determined.  "B" and "C" shift's work schedule and that for the following days "A" shift are published every afternoon.

Marketing and Business Development Division
The Haifa Port Company has placed customer service as its central goal.
The Marketing Division, in its customer service activities, is a bridge that will increase cooperation between clients and the port in the following areas:
Providing solutions to meet the needs of the clients
Computing and Information services
Computerized updates regarding cargo status in the port
Dealing with client calls and approaches (Importers, exporters, international forwarders, authorities and organizations)
Familiarization tours of the ports facilities and client seminars

Information Center
The Information Center is part of the Container Division that is responsible for the operation of the port's operations information systems.  The center receives, processes and distributes data (usually by electronic and online means) which is the basis for the ports operational activities.  The Center operates every day of the week, 24 hours a day.  The centers employees man and operate stations that deal with the reception and release of cargoes from the port, monitoring, updating and improving data, operational projects and provides services to the port's users.

Customer Support Center
The Customer Support Center coordinates processes involving the port's users, provides solutions for customs agents and haulers regarding storage documentation and operational problems.

Head of storage
Is responsible for all rear storage areas (warehouses and yards including vehicle yard), assistance in the provision of storage solutions for different types of cargo, supervision and instruction of warehousemen, dealing with and overseeing container inspection, loading and unloading,  long term storage.

Revenue Department
The Revenue Department collects fees and charges prepared by the Finance Department and calculated based on prices and regulations set by law. 
Collection is made according to the details listed in the release documentation for cargo or ships and based on reports received from the ports operational divisions which provide services for cargo or ships.
The amount a client is to be debited is calculated during the processes for the release of the ship and cargo using an integrated computer system which facilitates fast and efficient dealing with financial issues and speeds up release from the port.

Assets Department
The Assets Department manages all the payments to and from Haifa Port as well as the management of the cash balance.  The department also consolidates all matters relating to insurance and damages caused to third parties by the port and damages caused to the port's property and its employees.  The department also provides a variety of services to the port's employees.

Security Department
The role of the Haifa Port's Security Department is prevent harm and obstruction to those using the port, to its facilities, ship movements, cargoes, passengers and shipping lanes. 
The Security Department is concerned with the physical security of the port, protecting passenger movement, protecting and securing the port's pool and shipping lanes and the inspection of ship and yacht crews including the implementation of the ISPS code.
Additionally, the department is responsible for the release of cargoes from the port, authorizing entry to the port and issuing entry permits, security review of those using the port and its employees and preparation of the port for emergencies.

Emergency Team
The Emergency Team is manned 24 hours a day, every day of the year.  The team takes preventative measures to prevent work related accidents.  The unit is responsible for the evacuation of injured and wounded, extinguishing fires and dealing with hazardous substances.
The unit also provides safety instruction and workshops for service providers and port employees, work permits within the port and on contractor's vessels, permits for the transportation of explosives and hazardous substances.
