Personnel
The Port of Haifa is constantly becoming more efficient. Work methods and equipment are continously updated and output is rising. The port employs 1050 employees engaged in handling cargo, providing ships services, and administrative and technical functions.

Operative Planning and Coordination
Port operations take place around the clock. Ship cargoes are handled based on advanced operations planning carried out at the Center for Operations Planning and Coordination (COPC). Information provided by the COPC serves as the basis for all work schedules. The center is responsible for coordinating activities with ship agents and other external parties. The center is manned between 06:30 - 20:30.
Berthing locations and gang and equipment requirements are produced by the COPC. The work schedule for the second and third shifts and the first shift for the following day is posted daily, at noon at the COPC (Phone:+972-4-8518341).

Marketing and Customer relation division
Haifa Port Company has set Customer Service as one of its major targets. The Marketing and Customer Service Division serves as a bridge to increase cooperation between the customers and the Port. The division concentrates on the following subjects:
 Creating tailor made solutions for the customer's needs
 Teleprocessing and information services
 Computerized reporting regarding the status of containers in the Port
 Handling of customer's problems and complaints
 Conducting familiarity tours in the Port and seminars for customers

Port Fees
Port fees for services provided by the port are collected by the finance department based on statutory tariffs and regulations. Fees are calculated based on details recorded on ship and cargo documentation and reports generated by Operations. The port's computerized billing system permits quick and efficient invoicing and cargo release.

Support Center for Clients
Coordinate implementation of port work procedures by users.Support users such as custom agents and transporters by solving operational and paper problems. Works hours between: San׳-Tue' 06:30 -21:30 . Fri' 06:30 - 14:00  Phone: +972-4-8518666

Holidays
Port activities are suspended on the following holidays:
  The two days of Rosh Hashanah (The New Year)
  Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement)
  The first and last day of Succoth (The Feast of Tabernacles)
  The first and last days of Pesach (Passover)
  Shavouth (The Festival of Weeks)
