Shalom, the ancient greeting interwoven in all of our prayers, expresses today, just as always, our hope for a better future, especially upon the completion of development and investment plans of magnitudes unknown since the days the port was constructed. Plans and investments that will establish the Port of Haifa, as one of the modern and most advanced ports in the entire region, and will give the greeting, Shalom, an additional sense, stemming from the constant desire to make the Port of Haifa the leading entrance
and exit gate in all of the Middle East region.
A naturally protected bay, direct connection with maritime, land and air transportation, availability of resources efficient and attractively priced service, stability of work relations between management and employees, are the advantages that make the Port of Haifa, the port of Shalom, peace.

During your browsing through the pictures booklet and tables, you can see the fortitude of the Port's infrastructures, emphasizing our many advantages. A visit to the Port's piers, offices, maintenance workshops, computer rooms, the finance, marketing and marine departments, will reveal to you our greatest advantage, the Port of Haifa's human resource; professional, serious, service oriented, dedicated, and full of professional pride.
The initial meeting between customers from among the maritime trade community and the Port's employees, soon turns into a gallant partnership and a mutual desire to continue acting together towards an efficient and safe conveyance of cargos, performed here professionally, paying utmost attention to the prevention of damages to the cargo and the ship's hull, arising from the awareness and cognizance of the importance of the Port's customers.

The Port's activity and that of its employees is done under strict observance of safety conditions and care for the health of our employees, customers and visitors to the Port, and best care of the operational equipment of the Port.
The world economic crisis is fiercely hitting the marine trade community, and does not skip over the Port of Haifa. Often the port of Haifa finds itself, because of the slowdown in cargos, with substantial surplus of manufacturing factors, piers, and teams without work. We all pray for a fast turnaround and exit from the crisis.
The C.E.O., Port management and employees are aware of the economic crisis and its potency, and act prudently and with responsibility for the Port's future.
The C.E.O and Port management on all levels, are available for our customers during all hours of the day, out of a sense of obligation, commitment and partnership in the port activity and the economy of the State of Israel.

The Chairman of the Board as well as the other Board members, line out and determine the company's policy, and closely watch the company's performance and care for its solidity, keeping the good of the company and the economy of Israel as their first priority.
Beginning with February 17 2005, the Port of Haifa operates as an independent Governmental Corporation and copes with a competitive environment, which requires continued professionalization and strives to improve the level of service for customers and their satisfaction.

The structural change, which occurred in the Port, posts to the Port and the Marine Trade Community, many challenges, and a door for new and exciting initiatives.

We promise more then ever, to be attentive to the needs of our customers; together we shall find the golden path that will lead all of us to the common goals, the welfare of the Port, the Marine Trade Community, and the economy of Israel.

With a commitment for cooperation
